Why do we have to wear gloves when we’re playing with sparklers? The reason is because you might burn your  hands. Why do dogs and cats have to stay indoors? The reason is because dogs and cats don’t like it. (You can put music on the radio so dogs  and cats will not be scared.) Why can’t we put fireworks next to a house and shed? The reason is because you might burn the house and shed.

Celebrations and records

Did you know France uses fireworks to celebrate Bastille day and celebrate storming the prison of Bastille? In addition the biggest occasion for fireworks in the UK is Guy Fawkes night.

How they’re made

Do you know gunpowder is what makes fireworks explode? Further more, if you burn table salt that makes yellow flames. Did you know the first fireworks were probably was 2000 years ago? For example fireworks are made to burst at different heights.

I noticed you could spell the word Hannah backwards and forwards.

My teacher told me that this meant the word was a Palindrome.

A Palindrome is a word or phrase that can be spelled  backwards and still reads the same.

Here are some more I found:

Never odd or even

Laminate pet animal

Race fast safe car

Live not on evil

Dammit I’m mad

No lemon no melon

stack cats

Can you think of any?

Year 3 have been getting very creative recently!

In Art, they have been designing candles wrapping paper.

They have explored blending and overlaying pastels.

I think they’ve done rather well!

Golden rain might be falling towards me.

Rainbow fireworks ,

Exploding up into the clouds.

Stars up above the sky like diamonds.

Smoky yummy hot dogs making an enormous crowd.

Shiny bonfire is red, orange, yellow.

Children with their mums watching the fireworks.

fireworks zooming into the air slowly.

fire sparks spreading in the air.

so loud like a popcorn machine with the popcorn and with no lid .

whizzing rockets going to Neptune.

rockets whizzing to Mars.

fireworks keeping the sky bright.

racing fireworks in the night.

exciting rockets high in the sky.

Colorful fireworks exploding in the air like a butterfly.

Smoke dancing around in the air.

Stars glittering like  a sequin.

Beautiful toffee apples exploding  in my mouth.

Hot  dogs  sizzling  in  the  pan.

Cathrene wheels  spinning   like  a  round  about.

Glow  sticks  gleaming,

People  dancing  around.

Red shiny fireworks like sequins,

blue volcanoes just look like rain,

amazing rockets coming towards me,

catherine wheels glowing up,

a big loud noise of the crowd,

warm chocolate filling my tum,

mum said “Let’s go.”

sky lighters make babies cry,

fireworks in the air spreading everywhere,

fireworks are dangerous just like spikes.

everyone goes one by one.

two people can’t get a grip,

everyone goes to sleep,

but i am looking out of the window

Explosions  into  the  sky .

Fire  zooming  quckly,

fluorescent   fireworks  shining.

Rockets  blasting  into  space.

Everyone   is  excited  for  the  cascading  fireworks .

The  hotdog  steam  floats  on  air.

Whooshing   through   the  sky.

Rushing  through   the   crowd   to see   the  wonderful  fireworks.

Shooting  stars   shining  into  the  moon.
